Betances Health Center offers a full range of primary care and preventive services, as well as complementary and social services for the entire family, regardless of ability to pay.

We Accept All Major Health Plans

Betances screens for: eligibility for enrollment into New York State’s affordable health insurance plans: Child Health Plus, Medicaid, Medicaid Plus or a private Qualified Health Plans (QHPs).

We have staff on site that can help to see if you qualify for insurance: Our Facilitated insurance enrollers are trained to assist state residents with applying for and enrolling in public health insurance (Medicaid and Child Health Plus) and with comparing and shopping for affordable private health insurance options (Qualified Health Plans (QHPs).

Child Health Plus

The program’s goal is to ensure that children with no health insurance have access to primary health care regardless of their immigration status at no cost, or at low cost.

To be eligible for Child Health Plus, the child must:

• Be a resident of New York State

• Be under the age of 19

• Not be eligible for Medicaid

• Not have equivalent health care coverage

Medicaid

This program is for low-income family members who are New York State residents.

To be eligible for Medicaid, the applicant must:

• Be a resident of New York State

• Be a United States citizen or “qualified immigrant”

• Meet the income eligibility levels

• Be under the age of 65 

NO INSURANCE? NO PROBLEM

Betances offers a Sliding Fee Discount for:

Those who qualify for any portion of payment you are responsible for. You must apply for the discount and provide the necessary documentation to see if you qualify.
